minor cosmetic mod that makes a big visual difference
Subscribeordered a set of CF look magnetic stone guards from Dan over at MagnaGrafik. one of them was damaged and his customer service and resolution has been excellent.
i like the look so much on white that i think i'll sell these and get the permanent adhesive versions.
looks more aggressive and the black guards offsets the stretched look of the 991. best part is, up close you can ditch the yucky edge of the clear guards...they seem impossible to keep clean, so you always see the edge - blech!

I totally agree!
I run hot & cold with those black chip guards - really not sure how I feel about them.

I just think it messes up the lines on the car and distracts from that.. Then again I'm a minimalist and hate anything that detracts..
One of the thing I just hate with the turbos's and the caymans is the intake ducts that are aft of the doors.. Think they look eh.... and this kind of has that distracting look to it..
Then again, I have to say it doesn't look bad and I could probably get used to it.. I think I'd like it better on a non-white car though..
I'll pass..It is a throw back look but not for me.

I think it is more distracting to see the dirt lines along the edge of the clear stone guards. You don't see those dirt lines on a dark car, but on a light or white car, it looks horrible.Originally Posted by scatkins

Not bad at all. Black wheels seem to blend it all together nicely, too.
Yeah, since I have a glass sunroof with black roof I did the white/black theme. As part of this I did the LED side markers with CF diffusor, CF lip spoiler, SPASM front spoiler, and black Ruger Mesh wheels. I like how it turned out.

I have white/red/red 991S Cab. I switch between the White magnetic and the Red magnetic depending on my mood. Car looks fantastic with either. Interesting most people like the Red better.
