Nuts. Sounds like 14+ cars are now suggesting an "eco" driving style all the time, no matter the mode.

At least it disappears when you're applying moderate throttle.

I'm not sure you can on PDK, At least I haven't found any way.. Although since it is only there on PDK in manual mode and there is no "blip" feature it doesn't really matter.. I'm not sure who actually sits there and watches for it, I didn't even realize it existed on PDK in manual until a couple of days ago.

I think most of the folks here are talking M7 if I"m not mistaken...

I guess it can refer to manual or PDK. I personally have manual. Obviously you often look at the tach and the digital speedometer. It's hard to avoid the little blink of the triangle when it's right there.

Actually I never look at the tach even on a manual.. Would never take my eyes off the road.

Sounds hard to believe. Looking at the tach takes fractions of a second. As does pressing any button on the PCM or console. I don't think you'd be "taking your eyes off the road".

Have others noticed this? Mine is a 2014 C2S. Others have mentioned they can turn it off through the PCM. If so, how?

So odd that Porsche removed the option to turn it off on 2014 models.

I sincerely hope that does not flow through to us owners of 2012 and 2013 cars the next time we get a PCM software update....

I hope they turn it off for the PCM software update. They should remember this is a sports car!

Now, now, Shaytun. We mustn't **** off the EU regulation folks. After all, they know better than we do.

Then again if you have an early gen 991 with PDK (like me) the option doesn't exist at all. Their initial thinking was probably that manual only people "needed" it. Then they woke up and remembered that the PDK can be shifted like a manual. However in usual Porsche fashion it was too much trouble to give existing owners a path to newer "features" even when they are standard.

I have a 2012 C2S and it operates as stated in the manual. The shift indicator does not come on in sport or sport plus mode. Sounds like a unique 2014+ issue. Ocular saccade-you must be an eye guy
