Long time BMW owner gone Porsche
Long time BMW owner gone Porsche
I know...bad title.
Have been a BMW lover for some time now (2009 M3, 2013 550 Xdrive, 2011 335 Xdrive-wifey's, 2012 S1000RR) as I could only dream about owning a Porsche.
Recently fell onto a great deal here for a 2013 Carrera 4S with only 1K miles and I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
The wifey wants me to live in the car now cuz she claims I am no longer welcome in our bed. This should pass after a week.....I hope.
Just a couple of photos for now. It's white on black, PDK w/sport steering wheel. Only thing it's missing is Sport Chrono, but I think I can live without LC'ing the car.
Anyways I am in love. I used to have posters of 911's on my wall in high school and I finally own one...I really own one. I know I sound like an idiot on a board full of Porsche Enthusiasts, but I can't help but say it over and over again out loud. I OWN A PORSCHE.
When I was shopping around I looked at the R8 and Maserati too. I even test drove a used 430F1. The others certainly garner more attention, but the C4S drove like the wheels were installed sideways.
Once the dealer gave me the keys and told me to take it for a serious test drive I didn't stand a chance. I truly believe they have the easiest job in the world. Their sales process is simply allowing the prospect to test drive the car....that's it.
Well enough of the rambling. My apologies.
Two quick questions:
1) Where is the best place to buy an Aero Cup Kit?
2) Is there a meetup of Porsche drivers in the DC area?

Congratulations! I look forward to seeing you around the DMV. Please consider joining the Porsche Club of America. They have a very active Potomac Chapter. You'll receive the monthly magazine, email updates, and lots of useful information about Porsche ownership and how to wring-out the best from your car. By the way, I came over from BMW...6 BMW cars to be exact before coming to Porsche. Honestly, I cannot see myself not having a Porsche car from here on. Enjoy yours!

Enjoy!!
Feel the same way and like you, drove all of those cars plus the new Jag F type. Nothing drove like the 911. My 911-C2S should be delivered this week. Congrats and enjoy in good health.
