Clear Bra protects against Police Laser detector
I have escaped getting Police Laser Radar tickets and was wondering if Clear Bra on my car plays a role. My 991S has full front clear bra and lights and side mirrors are covered also. Following are my findings:
Five primary contributors to police laser's detector effectiveness are.
Whether or not a license or vanity plate is mounted on the front of a vehicle and I don't have one. The surface-area of headlights, fog lights, and parking/running lights have clear bra deflecting laser; 991 has no large sections of chrome that is perpendicular to the road facing the front; the shape of the vehicle - sloping; and finally the color of the vehicle while metallic being the easiest to detect.
Dose it make me stealth to the Police Laser?
No Speeding Tickets in past two years.

Not...No, I'm pretty sure the clear bra has nothing to do with it... It is simply a polymer / polyethylene material. No energy absorbing characteristics to it. If anything it would be the angles on the front end that deflect at other angles and the lack of flat surface area to reflect the energy...
Or most likely it is simply that you were lucky

Not clear bra. I own a lidar gun. Same one used by the local police. I can get your speed regardless of your clear bra and regardless of the absence of a front plate.
If you haven't been ticketed by lidar its because either they weren't shooting at you or you weren't going fast enough.

I'm sure it's because of the tin foil hat I wear whenever I'm driving.
But maybe I should get Clear Bra just to be sure. Do you know any good Clear Bra dealers????

Purely my opinion, but the only reliable way I know to detect a laser is when the lights and sirens go off behind you
! It is possible that paint or headlights deflect the beam, unlikely. Laser light takes literally 2 seconds to get to the moon and back. The response time for a point and shoot laser is fractions of a second. By the time a circuit reacts and you can react to whatever output it has, you are toast! Maybe if you have one of those very shinny chrom all body wraps. Radar is slower and various items could interfere, including weather, moisture content, etc., the very basis of weather radar. But again, a point and shoot radar gun, again, unlikely. And jammers, legal or otherwise, especially laser jammers no way. I hope I am not offending a sponsor and it is only my opinion.
