why Porsche Warehouse don't stock the most important parts

I'm just curious why Porsche warehouse in atlanta is not stocking important parts.. I have a beige interior and I need it the driver door panel, the S.A told me they have to make that part in Germany, have to wait a month. sounds crazy among other stuff, if any gets involved in an accident knock on wood it will take forever to fix the car.

There are many variations with any color. All the trim pieces if any (aluminum, carbon fiber, etc.) are part of the door panel. They couldn't possibly stock all variations.

I ordered the upgraded 911 shifter which was a custom order too. My old Cayenne logo embossed headrests, same thing.

Too many parts to possibly stock! And very costly if they did.

Also as far as leather, even though your part isn't, the mechanics at the dealer aren't the ones you want stitching your leather to panels.

My old CTT was hit from behind. Took over a month to get all the parts. The Turbo badge took even longer.

In 2002 I blew the engine on my 993 C4S at VIR at Turn 10. Totally destroyed the case with no usable internal parts. As my car had only 13,000 miles on it, I didn't want to put a junkyard engine in there as everyone I came across had 55K to 95K miles on it. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a brand new short block. A small problem, there were none in the USA. Nor was there one anywhere in the world it turned out. So I had them build me one out of parts in Germany and it took 90 days to do. It did eventually get here right at that three month timeframe as promised and I was good to go again, meanwhile I got a lot of time in my pickup truck as my one and only driver. FYI, the short block was $ 16,000.00 and came with a 2-year unlimited miles warranty. Such is the marque....

I recently bought a PCCB kit (rotors, calipers, pads) but needed some small items such as brake line, adapters, heat shields, etc. and they were not stocked in the US either so here I wait for them to come from Germany...2 weeks so far.

If you get a set of take-off PCCBs for a 991 S or GTS, the ones that come of a Turbo model, not the GT cars) please let me know as I have a couple people that are interested. Thanks.

Not for me, I said "I have a couple people that are interested."

I had a set of OEM PCCBs installed a few months ago and sold the Reds that came on it.
