Nice install. 9500ci's are a bugger to put in - especially getting wires through the firewall.

Thank you! And yes, a bugger indeed! This is our 12th 9500 install I believe. All of them are shown on the lower right side of this link

Dare I ask: what is the cost of installation on a 991?

Great question. Since these installations are custom and can vary depending on your preferences for the location of each piece of the kit, the labor costs can vary. We can do anywhere from a basic installation to having everything completely hidden and integrated into the car. Here are some details with images of other installations we have done.

Radar Installation Details

I am sending you a PM with an installation quote for an installation just like the one in the 991 shown in this thread.

I know when I did my install in my Porsche, I had planned on about 14 hours, but it took closer to 30 hours. I did make a custom dash bezel that took about four of those hours. I wasn't really expecting the amount of work it took to install the radar receiver under the front bumper cover. That meant jacking the front end up, removing the wheels, the inner wheel liners, then the bumper cover itself...ugh. But the hard part - the really hard part - was getting into the cabin with the wires. Porsche gives you zero extra space, there are no spare holes and the existing wiring grommets are so thick and so stiff they probably could bounce a .22 LR bullet right off 'em. Those that haven't done it can't appreciate the amount of work to do a clean, hidden install with that unit.

Thank you! Great to hear from someone who has performed this job. Yes, people are often surprised at the amount of time involved in these installations, especially when custom hidden wiring and displays are involved. We carefully document the installations with detailed pictures just to show what exactly is involved. Every installation is different, but we do what we can to keep the cost to our client as low as possible while still maintaining our high-level of quality during the installation.

I am SOOOOO fortunate. The previous owner had this installed in my car.

If you don't mind me asking. Where did you mount the speaker? Mine is in the front drivers side dash.
