Introducing the solution for 991 wind buffeting noise: The AWE Tuning Foiler™ Wind Di

The AWE Tuning Foiler™ Wind Diffuser has officially arrived, and is in stock, ready to roll:
  • The elegant solution for Porsche 991 wind buffeting
  • Lightweight Carbon Fiber construction, matte finish
  • Combats buffeting, both on track and off
  • Allows for “single window” down driving without buffeting
  • Perfect OE-like fitment
  • Simple, quick installation
  • Includes driver’s side and passenger side fitments

What’s wind buffeting?

You know that sound that happens when your window is down at speed, that makes it feel like your head is going to implode? That’s called wind buffeting. It happens when you’re moving fast, and it’s quite the issue on the newest generation of Porsche 991s. So instead of just letting our brains melt under the pressure, we did something about it.

Porsche Design

The AWE Tuning Foiler™ Wind Diffuser boasts an unobtrusive yet elegant design. Crafted from 2x2 carbon fiber with a matte finish, the Foiler™ Wind Diffuser complements Porsche styling without calling unneeded attention. And installation is a breeze with AWE Tuning’s user friendly bolt on design.

Passenger and Driver’s side Foiler™ Wind Diffuser included, as well as all hardware needed for installation.

Roll down your window and wave goodbye to wind buffeting.

And of course, now is the time to pull the trigger, The Foiler Wind Diffuser is being launched within AWE Tuning’s holiday special pricing. Enjoy!

More information on the AWE Tuning Foiler™ Wind Diffuser Page.

I love the idea and will probably buy one, but I would like to see a pictorial installation guide, with tools needed.

Holy smokes! Didn't think I would have to remove my door panel and related parts.

Any idea which years/models have the exposed screw?

I think I would prefer a 3M tape installation instead.

You might want to check that statement.... I just pulled-off the interior triangle trim piece and my '14 C4S does NOT have the exposed screw. Area is completely covered with a stiff rubber piece. Sorry no pic to show right now (iPhone died today unexpectedly) . For reference I have a coupe with sunroof and I have the standard Carrera side mirrors with auto-dimming.

Removing the interior door panel is a PITA but completely doable by a novice.

I don't see the screw on my 2013 C4s either (please cancel my order)

you can use the other foolproof solution - tilt the sunroof. At the track you just have a word with the flag chair and they will clear you to do that and it's effective at all speeds.

I just checked and my (December 2013 build) 2014 C2S does have an exposed bolt head.
