naples991 is infamous around these parts
I doubt this will be called a 2017. The new models are already on the configurator.

So they dropped the standard ride height by 10mm and added optional axle lift... those crafty Germans

Auto start/stop is default "on?" It is by default "off" on the 991.1, right? If that is a change....I do not like this change....

But, this is likely personally configurable in the "I" mode (with Sport Chrono) - along with everything else that is electronically controlled.

If history repeats, the 991.1 prices will be very strong going forward. The 993 (air cooled) are appreciating. I decided to move into a 2016. I will have one of the last NA builds. The thought of driving a turbo does not appeal to most enthusiasts.

Actually, the fastest appreciating 993s are the Turbo models, and they are not appreciating quite as fast as the 930s- provided large $$ have been spent to make them road worthy.

If history is any indicator, in 30 years enthusiasts will want 991s- they are time worthy machines- but 991.1 and 991.2 will be in the same bubble, condition will trump aspiration method, and the rarest variant will fetch the highest prices.

991.1 prices will continue to depreciate like most cars do. The argument of which 911 is the best always seem to be valid in their appropriate forum, most new buyers (except enthusiasts) will buy the latest Porsche they can afford. New Porsche buyers are older, mature and financial stable don't care about previous models.

Sadly, I agree with you. First time buyers will have no idea what they are giving up. I do expect in time, the last NA's will do far better than we think. I base this on comments from head of the Porsche test drive team. Perhaps his most meaningful comment when being questioned on the new TT, he said it's not an NA.
