Thoughts on 991.1 C4S vs 997.2 TurboS

Hello friends,

My wife and I are contemplating on another Porsche.

The choices is coming down to: 2015+ 991.1 C4S or 2012 Turbo S. I know this is in the 991 room but the members here are super awesome and fair and truly Porsche enthusiast so we're looking for your thoughts.

We both like the overall interior and exterior aesthetic of 991 model and of course, the newer technology.

But we also like the rawness and direct connection of the driving experience of the 2012 Turbo S. The 997.2 exterior lines feels a bit more "classic" than the 991.

Would love to get your thoughts and if someone has had both, I would love to hear from you.

Thank you!

I am a 4 time previous owner of Porsche TT cars. Last one a 997TT cab in white I still am not sure why I sold it. I am the current owner of a 991 4S and love the car. But the TT and TT'S are a different experience and the boot in the butt performance is intoxicating.
As much as I love the NA 4S I would go for the TT'S. It is Porsche ' s best available to most humans, unless you are a 918 candidate.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the new technology and luxury in the 991 but I like the 911 not solely for those things, but more for the driving characteristics.
I also think the 997.2 design will go down in Porsche history has one of the best.

With that said, its hard not to like the newer design of the 991. One thing I noticed about the newer model, it bigger car than the 997. A low mileage 991.1 C4S/Targa 4S/GTS is very tempting...

I'm having the same delimma in my house. We're considering an upgrade from a 996tt and I can't decide which way to go.
It's hard to make the change when I could add a second 996tt to the stable and spend less $ than either upgrade.

Had 3 different 996TT's and loved everyone of them. Flash tuned one of them, 2004 TT, at EPL tuning in CT. The car was blindingly fast and yet so stable to drive. Great cars.

How will you use it? The 991S will be more fun in the mountains and for going places with your wife.

The 997TT will be faster and a better car if you want to build big power and more bragging rights but less usable.
