You should try to get like some extended warranty from them. I pretty sure the Porsche manual warns against overfilling the oil.
They will simply not provide any extended warranty at all. I went through an arbitration/lemon process with them a couple years ago for an unrelated issue and they offered me a nice settlement and I got to keep the car but they refused to include the extended warranty no matter how hard I pushed back.

I have had numerous issues with my 2012 991S which i owned from new but I must say Porsche have been brilliant and did give me an extra years warranty when I asked them. I did ask Porsche HQ (UK) mind you rather than my local dealership. Definitely wouldnt want to run one of these cars out if warranty, not given the number of problems I have had and the cost of some of these parts...

There are many reasons I do my own oil/filter changes. This illustrates one of those reasons.

Ok quoting yourself is a no no but in case someone searches this I wanted to give an update. I purchased the fidelity warranty for my car with 10,8** miles for the 6 yr/60k miles for a little over $4700 with $250. Deductible.

I hope this helps someone when looking for the extended warranty ... One benefit my service department explained to me going with fidelity is that company pays the dealer directly where other warranty companies you pay for the service and have to get reimbursed from them.

Thanks in advance
You may want to consider having your dealer do a video scope of the cylinders looking for cracks. While this is a rampant problem in 997's, hopefully it's not the case in 991's.
I had a 997.1 with 30,000 miles which blew some smoke, then a new engine was put in (under warranty).

Thanks for the info. What is included in the coverage? Bumper to bumper?

I bought the Fidelity Platinum for my '10 4S at 8K miles. Has a $50 or $100 deductible and is the "exclusionary" type of warranty. So unless the warranty specifically says something is not covered, it is covered. I think I paid $4K and I bought it from a Chevrolet dealership because Porsche wanted almost $8K for the exact same warranty. Any dealership dealing in Fidelity warranties can sell you a Fidelity warranty.
