Nav problems...anyone???

The nav on my 2015 GTS won't allow me to input street numerical addresses. Zip Code and street names can be achieved, but not numbers. I have an appointment with a dealership this week to check it out and I'll be sure to update this post afterwards, but wanted to check here first in case someone else experienced this issue.

I had a similar issue on my '14 C4S over a year ago, and got it working by just doing a "reset" of the unit using the on-screen commands. I can't recall the specifics, but basically there is an option to reset to factory settings. Don't need the dealer to do this (matter of fact this is the procedure anyone should go through to clear the PCM of any stored data when selling or lease-ending a car...). Once the PCM reset I no longer had any issues. Step-by-step directions are included in the owners manual. Maybe that would help?

Thanks. I could not ascertain the reset you described. Anyway, my car is due for a software update so I am having that done as well.

I have had 2 dealers look at the nav system and it is just plain bad. Try using the point of interest function - it is strictly hit or miss if you want something more than 2 miles from your location.

Loving L.A.! Still settling in with lots to do...met with the flooring and kitchen guys to renovate and remodel both. So far, enjoying driving the GTS around town...the car arrived last Friday and I had it detailed and waxed the next day. GEICO has all the details regarding the claim, but I haven't yet gotten around to taking to one of their sites here. I've already figured out that scraping the lip bottom on these cars almost goes with the turf out here...one of the questions I plan on asking the tech this Thursday when I go to BH Porsche for my appointment is how folks out here handle that situation.

Thanks!

Update...so, there's nothing really wrong with the nav. It's just that to enter everything, including the street number, I have to start with country, then state, then zip, then street, and then number. Not quite intuitive.

It truly is a pain in the butt..... and if you have voice control I find it twice and frustrating.

I had voice control in my P4S and gave up trying to use it. Nav issues aside though, these still are the best vehicles I have ever experienced!

The NAV systems in Audi/VW and now Porsche have always lagged behind the times. I do pull up the MAP once in a while to see where I am but mostly use my cell for directions.

One thing I've found voice control good for is skipping songs when listening to Pandora.

i would much rather have the MMI in an Audi than the current version of PCM. Hopefully the 2017s have something much better than what this generation has.
