Aero front bumper install!

Alright

After many months going back and forth on getting a new car or upgrading my C4S I landed on a deal to upgrade the bumper.

Found a great aero bumper deal online ($1900 shipped with all brackets and parts).

I got the parts and contacted my local auto-body shop.

Worked out a deal with installer to have original paint stripped from used bumper and installed on car for $680.

Below are a couple of pics of the disassembly and the original yellow bumper i purchased. I will have more as they get the new bumper into paint and installed on my car.

I bought a new aero cup front lip from Suncoast to replace the reg sport lip.

Will keep all of you up to date!

Nothing beats the feeling of upgrades!

Next two upgrades are CF Diffuser and Lip. If any of you have deals on these next two i am all ears. Preferably the Vorsteiner products would be best!

Nice! I think I was looking at that same bumper online, but I needed one set up for parking sensors. I ended up purchasing a new sport design bumper from my local dealer instead.
Congrats, it's gonna look sharp!

Cool. Gonna look awesome. While you have the bumper off, you might as well get the Rennlist wire mesh grills put in too. Well worth it and will provide your radiators some protection.

Did mine 2 months ago along with aero cup wing. Loving it. Added Rennline mesh inserts at the same time.

Zunsport from Germany also sells grills, but they snap it and installation is supposedly easier, but coming from Germany, likely to take some time to get to you - the good part is, its a DIY:

Good luck.

Well bumper and sport lip are all painted. Bit dirty waiting for the bracket seals to come in from Porsche (why it takes Porsche so long to do anything I will never know). Should be done tomorrow...can't wait!

Nice work! I am excited to see you and a few others have made this upgrade. While the cost is a bit of a roadblock for me, I am more worried that the paint match afterwords. I have Rhodium Silver and am fearful of a mismatch with the color and metallic. I know good paint shops perform magic, but I'm sooooo picky.

Also, has anyone DIY'd the installation? I am curious of the procedure and parts needed.

Again, nice job!

you might want to consider the aerokit spoiler lip in the future - adds a little more aggressiveness. I should have mentioned it earlier, but it is an easy DIY, you just need to get it painted. From Suncoast http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/991REPSPO.html
