OK. OK. OK.
If you all are going to order a new GTS or a 911 Turbo, what is an appropriate discount to receive? 2%? $5000? Nothing? Forget the GT3, I am a commoner. I don't brown nose dealers and sit on a waiting list for a year. (part of this was in jest so relax)
I am hesitant to order to sticker price but I'm getting excuses like 'Porsche is cutting production', yadda yadda yadda...you know the drill.

5% off would be a great discount- a few years ago at a different dealer I was quoted a $5k discount to order a Gen 1 GTS. Now with the 991.2 they are higher performance but no discount? Not even 2%? Kinda weird to me.
That's odd. My brother got the 991.2 in stick really loaded up. WE have a great relationship with this dealership and if you wanted to order in S. Cal...I can definitely send you our families salesman info.
That would be great, thanks Fkim - heck if I got 5% off I would probably order a 911 Turbo. I have been coming to So-Cal quite a bit of late for work as well.
The sales guy at my dealership here has been good, very straight up, but no discount on a high end 911 order is odd to me, especially when I was able to get a discount at another dealer previously.

I landed 8% off MSRP on my 991.1 GTS allocation slot. My local dealer rep was flabbergasted and didn't believe me until I showed him the paperwork!
Call every single dealership you can, and throw them at each other. One will eventually give you the deal you want.
