Coasting function

hi guys, I'm new here...

been reading lots lots of good feedback and comments about Porsche's genius gas saving function: coasting function.

Is it possible to turn it off? Is there a section in the owner menu I missed? If any fellow 6speedist can point them out, greatly appreciated!

I may be wrong, but as far as I know, the car only coasts in "Normal" mode, not in the sport modes.

It only coasts when you have the start stop function active...you know, when it shuts off at a stoplight

Rented a PDK Cayman last week in Augusta and it did that. Kind of cool and absolutely transparent. Not sure why you would disable really...if you bought a PDK.....

that makes sense. I was wondering why my car is not coasting!!!

by default when I turn on the car the auto stop is inactive (lit up red on the button).

Thanks for clarify that.

I detest auto-stop and mostly drive my car in Sport anyway, so rarely see it. Lose my @#$% every time it shuts off, though... lol

😂, I didn't like it either, but highway driving seems sensible with fuel saving?

During the city driving, wasn't planning to use them. Coming from the BMW universe, they got that function pretty good.

Interesting (maybe I misunderstood this...) On my car the auto stop is active by default. Once Sport or Sport+ is activated it will turn off and the light will turn red on the centerconsole indicating that it has been de-activated.

2013 model, Red light means inactive.
When you start it is by default Red and inactive.
I heard other years is the opposite at startup
