So it appears the lifetime for your dashboard is almost 7 years. Just discovered it last week, but the glue holding the leather down is already giving way on the driver side. The passenger side is starting to slide back from the edges as well.
I'll try to get a better picture soon.

Yeah the leather dash of the 991 is a fail. My friend is a Porsche tech and he said labor isn't too difficult. And the part is reasonable in price.

 

Now I see it...yikes. Old Ferraris were notorious for leather lifting but not so much Porsches.

 

Leaving car outside in the sun w/o sunshade might have something to do with it.
