the 993 TT is, IMHO, the BEST porsche. The clutch is VERY heavy, otherwise I'd have one

Ken, just mash the gas as hard as the clutch and you'll build leg muscles evenly.

Newbie

Hi

I registered here, but have seen little action. Mostly over on Rennlist. However, I was fortunate enough to have picked up on the Thill event held on 8/9. Met lots of folks there.

I'm new to Porsche having bought a '99 996 C2 the last of April. Coming out of a 400 hp RX-7, turns out it was too tame for me, so bought a '96 993TT with Turbo S ECU, and am selling the 996.

Yes too bad no action here for our 993TTs. The 996 board is great though and I use it for research.
Oh.. I am converting a 993TT to GT2 EVO body specs, brute engine, etc.. another 2-3 weeks and it should be ready. No pics yet.

Brute engine?

Are you replacing the transaxle or changing the front sections?
Are you keeping the power steering?
I've just gone through this process on two cars recently and learned a few things, so I'm happy to share.

Cheers,

Ken,

The TT has a power clutch. In stock form, there is almost no force required on the clutch. I sell lots of high HP clutch set ups for these cars and there is no increase in clutch pedal effort even when they are installed. So now I guess you are going to have to buy one
