Stock head unit / Ipod
If you are wanting an Ipod in a 993 you will need to upgrade the head unit. The CDR 220 from a 996 works well and Becker USA will sell you the Aux in wiring harness. It is a straightforward swap out but you will need to remove the wire cage that the original 993 CDR 210 unit slid into. Also you will need to get the faceplate modified to be able to view clearly in a 993 (Becker or SW Stereo). There are lots of aftermarket units will work too, but I like the look of the 220 to keep things authentic.
Hope that helps.

What head unit do you have? The cassette or CD? You can add a iPod cable to the CD one, but not the cassette. Of course the CDR 220 will work.
Here is the cable I have in both my cars.

i just installed this cable but the ipod freezes up unless i disconnect the power, the website says it is compatible with 3g nano which is what mine is but maybe i'm doing something wrong, i ran the power line from the ipod cable to the power going cable into the cigarette lighter (cigarette lighter works fine)
any ideas anyone ?
