HID H1 Headlights conversion

I have a '95 993 with stock halogen headlights. I want to update the look and increase the brightness of the headlights. I do not want to spend +$2000 for the conversion kit. I found H1 lights with ballasts that I am considering. I am not sure of what brightness to purchase. It looks like an easy install. Will I have to worry about the wiring system or change the fuse for the headlights.

Any comments about your experience would be helpful.

Thanks I will check them out. What intensity bulb did you use. Did you need a different fuse. Did you have problems with any wiring?

I used a kit from DDM on my 95. Worked fine but I didn't like the way it looked with the rest of the lights. Performance was a huge upgrade though.
