Do You Have To Break-in A New Turbo Prior To Installing An Exhaust

i HAVE ABOUT 500 MILES ON MY TURBO AND WAS WONDERING IF i SHOULD BREAK THE CAR IN PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE EXHAUST?

I htink you should install the exhaust as it needs to be broken in for 500 miles as well....BTW - what exhaust you getting this time?? I sold my Fabspeed (almost) and was wondering if you sold the Cargraphic or not...

agree with MSINDI. Also, if you are considering ceramic coating on headers, that needs to be broken in as well and it can all occur simultaneously. Good luck

I have never heard of breaking in an exhaust? What are you doing to break it in and what do you hope to accomplish.

I understand you have to cure ceramic coatings.

Lou this is a long standing debate... break-in or not? Someone put it to me this way... what do you have to loose? if you follow the 1500 mile break-in recommended by Porsche you won't hurt anything... however, if you hammer it from the get go there is a chance something might happen... so I follow the break-in (as close as I can) and patiently await the 1500 mile mark.
