It really depends on a couple of things... each system is some what unique to each person's tuning request.
It also depends on if u already have exhaust,K24, etc.

ball park figures are around the 10K mark for starters..... but then again ... you could get lucky and score some parts cheeap online... that will bring costs down.... Key to the whole thing is patience and LEARNING TO take some ADVICE from ppl that have already gone down the road you are about to embark.... MARKSKI saved me THOUSANDS..... coz he spent it already for me... and found out what worked and what didnt.... I just had to trust him..... Like him there are many ppl that are more than willing to help....

Same here! Markski was the inspiration to my project and I thank him for steering me in the right direction. I'm very pleased with the results I've gained from my Proto setup.

What is prone to breaking at these levels of build and what are the recomendations to upgrade.
Also.........on the street here in so cal we have 91 octane fuel. 100 unleaded is available at $7.70 per gallon. Rob King of S-Car-Go advised i should run a mix of 50% 100 and 50% 91 at the high boost level which is 1.2 bar but will spike to 1.3. He stated you can almost run high boost on 92 octane of which they have in northern Cal but to be safe use the better fuel.
What are your experiences with these issues?...................cheers, Gman

The nice thing about a tuner like Todd K is that he can customize your program specific to you needs.. including Octane dependancy. BTW, Todd lived most of his life in Cali up on till recently... so He has a good grasp on 91 octane.

Hey John D thank you very much for your picture and answers. That is very helpfull to me. However, from your posted photo has not shown there is a intake duct panel above your Blown6 intercooler. The intercooler intake duct panel is installed from the vent above rear wheel fender to upon intercooler. I wonder if Blowen 6's intercooler come with a new intake duct to fit its enlarged cooler.

My second qustion is that the cone type air filter is relocated to above intercooler and its pipe is coming from turbo to be above intercooler. Therefore, the pipe of the air filter has to go through the rear wheel fender liner. I think a hole must be drilled on fender liner in order to allow the pipe of air filter to go above intercooler. I wonder if you have finished installation photo with intalled rear bumper and rear wheel fender liner? Your help is very important for me to make a decision. John D, again. Thank you very much!

S4,

I did not install the B6 intercoolers myself, so I am not sure if the intake duct had to modified or not. My tech did not mention having to do anything like that, but the bracket had to be trimmed a bit to set the intercoolers in the proper place. I have confirmed that the fender liner does require a hole to be cut in order for the intake pipe to pass through. The bracket has to be trimmed, as well. Here are a couple of pictures Todd sent me which show the areas you are asking about. The first picture shows the bracket trimmed for the intake pipe to pass through.

Question

Hey John D thank you very much for your photo and explanation. From your picture of intercooler which is not a factory unit or GT2 unit. Can you tell me who made that large intercooler?

FYI for those of you that do not realize it...this intake setup will not work with the MAF sensor in the stock position (duh). Protomotive has moved it near the TB and uses a different MAF with modified software. I believe I recall Todd saying that the Bosche sensor does not work at all with this design.
