Don,

That's some pretty good work there, but way beyond what most of us could do. Making those pipes with all the welded joints looks like a real skill. Not to mention installing the injectors...way beyond my level, I know that.

That looks great, that's exactly what I'm planning on doing to my car in the coming weeks. I unfortunately do not have the welding or fabrication skills that you have, however I do have a few 6 packs of beer and a really nice friend

What if these parts where produced at a larger scale and the price went down? The above pipes could be copied using a mandrel bender and produced in a bulk order for a more affordable price? I'm hoping that we can duplicate my pipes once they are complete in this manner and bring the price down.

That is an an option, but this is only a small part of a Protomotive kit. It's nice to have the back-up and support of the tuner, in this case Todd Knighton, when and if problems develop. Remember, these pipes use the Protomtive MAF that reads after the air is charged and the accompanying software to make it all work. And Protomotives prices are very reasonable to begin with...

D.....Nice Fab work. Can you tell us how you sourced the bell intercooler cores and why you choose them? Rob @ S-Car-Go Racing suggested the EVO intercoolers but after i drained my bank account on the TT purchase i'm looking to do some mods with my skills at hand. What software are you using to do the Tune??..........cheers..........Gman

I came up with the Bell IC cores after initial trial and error. I had 3 sets sent to me and experimented with Todd K on the phone. The rest is history.
You get a core for 600 bucks a set and in this case make your own endtanks... Can't beat that. And if you have not heard of Protomotive yet start asking LOL J/K.

For right now I'm looking to go from intake/exhaust to a K24/18G setup with fuel system, all custom intercoolers/piping and stick with Todds tune. I'm hoping to hit the TX Mile or TX2K7 in March with the car and see if we can break 200mph with a relatively similar setup with a few tweaks here and there. Who knows what the future will hold as we get more in depth but wouldn't it be nice to have everything on the shelf ready to go? IE In the Supra world intercoolers are on the shelf, complete 1500HP Fuel systems, etc so if you decide Thursday afternoon that you want to have the parts for a weekend install you can. It would be nice to have that same convenience in the Porsche world partnered with some of the best tuners already out there. This goes for clutches, turbos, etc.

Markski,

Can you make me a set or does Proto sell them? I love the Evoms ones but they are quite pricey!
