New Front Bumper and Tail Lid & Wing

I am looking at changing out both. I am looking at "Automobile Accessories" in Sherman Oaks CA.

I was looking at the 996 Turbo GT2 Kit for $5295.00. Any thoughts, opinions, experiences with these guys. I talked to a guy named Neil. I met him last year at the German Auto Feast in Ventura. Seemed like a straight shooter.

Any comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks-Robert

Does the ftont come with all the necessary ducting? Keeping the Turbo "internals" and only installing the GT2 shell can lead to cooling problems.

His stuff is not what you want to put on your porsche

Cargraphics GT2 nose and tail are great - made out of carbon fiber and to fit the TT nose perfectly - the wing fits much better and cleaner than the NR stuff- he just buys from shaw and getty anyway

Neil is from the infamous "NR Auto" low pressure injection mold bumper. which means major sagging in the bumper and lots and lot of prep time. not quite the type of quality i would put on my car. deck lid isn't too shabby but i would go with Anziano's if you don't want to sport for the real deal. i have seen both first hand. might want to just buy the real bumper and knockoff decklid, price would be the same.

Do it right or don't do it at all. It'll lead to problems otherwise and it's really expensive. Until Darren pointed out to me that he got that Cargpraphic bumper to work with the stock TT internals I would have said just don't bother... But his looks sweet and seems to function as it should for the turbo.

Another thing to consider is that the factory GT-2 nose is made out of a flexible urethane...very important when blasting rough canyon roads I have found!!

How about the GT2 being built in 04 when production was originally set for just 02-03, the consumer just doesnt matter.

On the contrary. I purchased several accessories from NR and am very happy with the quality and fit of parts. I own an '02 996 Turbo and purchased their GT2 kit which includes their front bumper and replacement GT2 engine lid wing. There is no sagging on the front bumper and the wing fits perfectly.

I have noticed no difference in operating temperature of my car since this conversion. If anything, it runs a little cooler.

You can see picture of my car on NR's website. Check it out!

The various NR body parts that I have seen were less than impressive.
I am also less than impressed with a company that copies photographs from other manufacturer's and then represents them as thier own... unless NR is now the source for factory accessory parts.
