GIAC Flashloader for us??

Anybody know if GIAC is working on any Flashloader applications for our cars? I see they have worked out almost all the VW/Audi models so far, but since its VAG based, I didn't know if they were playing with Porsche as well... sure would be nice:

I asked the question on an earlier thread

http://www.revotechnik.com/

This company has a flash loader and plug-in modules for different applications. Check out the link above, I am seriously considering it since I won't solder my ECU! - No Way

Coming real soon through a GIAC dealer. We already have been doing various Audis and Vee Dubs. I just did an R32 last week. Neat cars BTW.

FWIW delsoldering the ECU by someone that knows what they are doing is not a big deal.

Hey not everyone is as careful as you though when it comes to soldering

Is flash loading the same as OBDII port programming?

It is available now! My mechanic installed one on a tt and got an additional 80hp to the wheels with no other mods. I am tempted to install one on my GT2 or wait for the GIAC version. I like the optional plug-in modules of the Revo setup though.

The GT2 would be sick with an additional 80+ hp (it's already sick)

Only problem witth flashloading is I guess no IBE will be offered since you have to go into the ECU to do that...

The GIAC flashloader hardware is a small handheld device that plugs into the OBDii port. It holds a couple of different programs. You plug it in, pick the program you want. (stock, race, 93 oct, valet, etc...) and flash the ecu ROM. done...when you want to change back or to another you flash it again. as much as you want until you wear the chip out which should take quite some time...

so essentially its like IBE but the hardware is external and nothing is soldered or addedto the ecu board at all. it all remains stock.

its available for Audi/VW but not P-cars yet. but its close...
