-2.5 camber + Sport Cups @Drag Strip =...........
a Joke
and a near write off
We went yesterday and I couldnt figure out for the life of me why my lukewarm sport cups couldnt do better than my old PS2's which ran a 11.7 @124.
I trapped 124 on my first run while babying the throttle because my clutch had been slippling, the next run I gave it more gas and got more spin. This usually well prepped trak almost ate several cars including mine, on my third run, I spun first and second and was only 3/4 throttle in third when I was almost facing the opposite wall, I'm lucky I have road course experience or I would have eaten the side wall, I ended up correcting it and about half way into the other lane before gathering her up. I did muster up the courage to go back out (after I had left the park, driven up the road scrubbing the tires to try and get some heat in them
) but the track conditions were so bad my best run was my first 12.0 @ 124. Pretty sucky, but not bad considering the conditions.Well on the way home, I looked through my rear view and was admiring the aggressive camber when it dawned on me how much that hurt my launching ability, and traction. But IMO Road Course > Drag Strip and I would not do an alignment to go drag racing.
Moral of the story, not MPSC on Crappy preped track with -2.5 camber.
Congrats Heavy... Someone on bimmerforums found one of my timeslips that I didn't bother to collect and posted that I ran 127mph at a WHOPPING 12.2 something, and I'm running about the same camber as you are in back...
Drag racing sux...
Actually, I suck at drag racing, therefore...

I disagree dragging the TT is fun. Its a good comparison to other cars in strait line speed. Its not the end all be all of racing but it does take a little skill to do (although not near as much as road racing).
Its all about the competitive spirit and having fun, not that a 87 stang with a big block that costs about a third to build can kick my **** with out even trying..

Yes I think we did get footage, I'll ask and see.
As for my mods.
K24's
ECU (Orton)
PSI Loud
I only go to the strip a couple times a year to test trap speed, but
I couldnt even get that right as not once did I get a clean 2nd gear.

Let's say I had to replace my rear wheel, lol
There is always next time.
