With the High HP cars you have to run really good gas if you want to put down those high numbers. I can only do 1 bar on 100 octane. 1.2 bars on 110 and 1.5 bars on C16.
Ideally, it is best to have the power with a gas you can get at the pump.... so if you dont have C16 around... what's the point of doing 850 rwhp if you can't use it.
I think uppper 600s to the wheels with a basic rod job and a stock head would be sufficient. That way one can run 100 or 104 octane.

Well, as some of you already know it looks like I might of blown a head gasket that day at FBF. I was on my 5th consistent 170-190 mph run when the car started to idle rough and smoke and coolant started coming out the rear.
So, now that I am forced to open her up I might as well do it right and maybe go for a little more juice. My thing is highway rolls and high speed runs, so I would like to build something that will deliver consistant high hp but reliably and that will be responsive on pump and race gas.
Maybe GT3076r's like Ohio GT2 had but with a motor build is what I'm thinking.

i smashed the axels....lol with only a flash on the stock 996tt...(hard launch).
once I got started on that fix up... turbos etc etc.. came shortly after.. car was down anyhow...!!
the thirst is never quenched.... only relieved temporarly.. As far as reliability the K24/18g set up is more than words can describe. INCREDIBLE, dependable, quick, good top end...trust me!!! you can do 210MPH in low boost with 94 octane NO problem!!! and you dont need miles of road either... get there pretty darn quick... trust me on that....
I would def do the bottom end and get more HP if $$ permits.... ITS all about the $$'s.... how deep is your pocket... BUT SINCE you are forced to do open heart surgery now.... might as well get it all prepp'd for the innevitable!!! why not ask what some other 6speeders have done to motors and compare expense vs performance.... thats what I did with the K24 set up and went with it !! lots of options out there i think...
one thing that is mentioned quite a bit is that 600rwhp is about as reliable as you gonna get...
700+++RWHP expect down time for letting her rip ..things are bound to break with that much hp...i guess..... !! something to think about... flip i did 20 straight pases at the track and drove home with only a hose blowing off by the fpr..... i cant belive how reliable this hp is on a PORSCHE....

Yeah, you're not kidding that viper was insane. I should be up and running by spring time if all goes as planned. Do you have any idea what your stage 4 will be putting down?

No Idea! stay tuned! I promise you, it wont disapoint ..Back to yours, If you want to make big power DO THE HEADS!! you can get away with making more power with less boost.(no matter which tuner you choose)....tom

I will personally stay away from that viper!!!!

Dmaffo,
I'm currently running the k24/18g 700 package. At 700 these turbos are topped out so to get more power I have to go 20g's @ 1.65 bar which I'm not crazy about or goto GT series. The car feels very good at this power level but since I have to do the build anyways I would like to make more power 800-850 hp.

When you have an EBC or external wastegates you remove that ability from the ECU...It's only so much timing the ECU can pull. They still make big power though!
