Thumbs up I got the IPD/RSS 75mm Plenum and Bored TB

I will be busy this weekend installing this:

The kit is coming with an 80 mm silicone tube to replace the OEM part, thus now you do not need to mod or replace the OEM Y Pipe.

Also, the Plenum looks more than a simple pipe; it is very well made as well as the bored TB.

Finally, great service and support from RSS, thanks Greg and Mike.

I will post impressions soon..

I was under the impression that the OEM Y pipe was part of the restriction and replacing it was the reason for part of the gains.....am I wrong?

After the OEM IC's (I currently have the EVO IC’s) the TB is the restriction at 500 WHP to up. The Plenum plays here a role of getting this extra air optimizing/accelerating the flow at all rpms. Then at 600 WHP to up the Y-pipe start to be restriction.

Furthermore, the OEM inlet turbos pipes are on the other part of the equation the other part that restricts the flow. Those pipes are good until 450 WHP and I may plan to change that as well ..but is a pain to do it and I have to lower the engine.

I think flow is the key and starting from the IC's was a good idea.

RCNJ is infamous around these parts
I have the same setup on my GT2 and it works great but for some strange reason I lost my cruise control. I spoke to Greg at RSS about the problem and he said it had some thing to do with the wiring but he never got back to me with a solution.

Agreed about the EVOM ICs. The power delivery feels much better IMO, and no more blown pipes.

If you have the time, please post a FAQ on this. To my knowledge none exists, and I know quite a few people would love to see one with comments on the install.

Good luck!
