This is for the GT3, but is there any reason it wouldn't work on a TT? Still waiting to hear back from my email inquiry. Anyone have any experience with Oakley Design?

I have a picture of another one somewhere that Mike (worked with Kirby),
had on his car. Looks cool but still need to clutch it.

Thanks Wood, that's what I thought. The other install you've seen, was it on a 996TT? Even still having to clutch it, I would think the shifts would be sick fast.

 

Their carbon fiber cage looks promising.

 

I like their sunglasses.

Yes it was on a PSI Motorsport 550 996TT, (Mike's, no longer on the board?).

 

This is a different Oakley than the sunglasses/apparel maker guys...still very cool stuff though.

I've considered doing this myself, but that would make it unfair for everyone else at the track.

 

Im 99 percent that this cannot be done for the 996tt...I looked into it awhile ago, and found that there is NOT much variablity for our very particular gearbox/config or something like that. It works for the GT2 and the GT3, but there is something about our box that makes this very uneconomical to do...


If it is, that is the sickest thing ever...haha

 

Porsche Motorsport Sequential Box = $25,000.00 (old design) and $50,000.00 updated design.... you may want to consider the actual versus claimed effectiveness of such an item...

Perhaps Porsche Motorsport made a mistake in spending $100,000,000.00 on the design of their sequential box?

Waste of money IMHO.

 

I hear the Oakley Design sequential shifter is around 4000GBP. Not too bad. Will relay on the information as I get it.
