Replacing MAF DIY

okay so ive searched on 5 different sites on how to replace my MAF to no avail...

if someone can just do me a favor and give me a link to it, i would be grateful. i checked renntech, rennlist, and 6speed along with iA's tech site and same with vivid... maybe im just missing or not looking for the right thing.

my MAF went bad and I just need a DIY link and what tools i need to get the old one out, and the new one in.

Unplug, remove screws, install new maf, install screws, plug in.

Go to the auto parts store and buy an assortment of torx as you will need a lot of different sizes to work on this car.

Security torx too IIRC. I found them at Sears - like with the little hole in the end.

yes, remember to buy the security torx screwdrivers!

I bought the other kind and had to go back.

I was on my original MAF at about 30,000 miles (and now have a FORD maf!)

It truly is cake, but do as advised above and get a set of "secure torx" sockets from Sears before you start. Otherwise you won't be able to start at all... Also be very careful how you handle the MAFS. Do not touch the diods or wires... Hold it by the area where the wire connector snaps onto the unit. Handle it with care and do not drop it or bump it will installing it.

Takes less than 20 minutes start to finish.

Proto uses a Ford MAF. You need to have programming if you chose to use this.
