Haven't gotten the rear rotors in yet Steve. I'll let you know when that's done. It probably won't be for 2-4 weeks. The clutch is going in the shop 3rd week of Feb. and I'm out of town from 9-16 Feb.

The way it was explained to me is that heat in the rotor can cause it to go out of round/run-out, and cause jutter as it fights to retain its shape against the pad. Floaters allow for compensation of this issue.
I may be wrong in that inerpritation, but I "thought" that's what the guy at Wilwood told me years ago at SEMA.

Adam, That's correct. The two piece design allows the caliper to push the rotor where it needs it to go without transfering that motion to the pedal and steering wheel.
Oak, I've heard the same exact thing about the floating rotor design.
