Big Brakes... Mmmmmm

So I've been wheeling and dealing and finally fell into this setup thru two separate deales:

Rick over on Rennlist hit me offline with a PM about the two piece rotors and two sets of pagid pads for an increadible deal, and then I also had stumbled onto a new set of GT3 calipers/pads on ebay... So for $2600 I ended up with 3 sets of pads, the rotors and calipers!

NICE!!!! what a great deal.
Are the rotors 350mm? Replace just the disc later w/o the hub? Better than the Performance friction floating rotors?
Do you have a stud kit? Where can I get them?

Pics of the rotors were sent to me by rick... I'm considering going with wheel studs, since I prefer them over lug studs...These are custom rotor hats that were special made. I am not sure if these are 355mm or 350mm, but they should clear the stock setup since they work with the stock GT3 rotor on the stock Turbo upright.

Pics of the rotors were taken by the previous owner, and I don't have any others...

Yea, those pads on the left are the 6 piston GT3s and the pad on the right is a standard Turbo Pad. Amazing difference!

Mike nice job. I went with the Brembo 6 piston monobloc design. looks the same but has cross pieces that stop some flex I guess.
of course for the front and back I paid double what you just did!!

It will be fun to see how the two cars compare at VIR!!

Tom, I hope to have the 350mm 997 caliper/rotor setup on the rear by the march event, but it depends on if the clutch lasts or not... Right now it's holding up OK.

What is the purpose of the two pins that appear to touch the rotors on either side of the pads?

These studs just hold the pad in position, sometimes the fit of aftermarket rotors/hats sit 2/3mm out and that looks very close to the pin, you can get around this by cutting down the stud by 1/2mm, look out for that mike.

I just need to know where to get the rotors.

Bolt on
No modification needed
Slotted
Work with 996 GT2 6 piston Calipers

Are my only requirements.
