AND THIS

YOU DONT HIT THE BRAKES IN THE ESSES!!!!! There is 4 of the 5 second gap right there. And he had to have done that intentionally.

For those of you who are going to try and come up with something stupid like "OMG THE GT-R TOTALLY PWNZERS TRACTION AND ISNT SUBJECT TO GRAVITY!!!" Heres a video.

Let me know when you see someone else hit the brakes entering the esses?Point being there are MANY cars that can actually go through a set of esses without braking or coasting the whole time. And these esses arent even that fast.

Boy oh boy is it fun exposing the frauds.

This does seem to me to be pretty damning evidence, Heavychevy. Certainly makes no sense to me. No reason to be going backwards in the esses in the 997TT and Vette, unless you just don't know how to drive, or, you are up to no good!

There will always be speculation about magazine articles, because they often do get it "wrong". Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves...

Remember, the goal is to??? SELL MAGAZINES...

Having written for a few, I can tell you this, first hand...

Give it some time, this car will get deflated like a hot air balloon.

Mike- I'm not guilty of stock vs modded comparos. I'd take a stock Z06 or GT3 to beat or stock 997 TT to match (or beat) the GT-R on ANY circuit with decent driving. We have seen no such thing.

Prche951- The American version isnt any slower than the Japanese version, in fact they say it's better because it's more balanced due to the LHD configuration.

As far as other magazine tests I can show you them all and show you similar problems with the results. All skewed in favor of the GT-R. And you can go and SEE for yourself that the test are garbage. But just for fanboy enjoyment I'll go through the list.

EVO Magazine- (evo.co.uk go watch the video) - They did a one lap comparison vs the 997 GT3, they run the lap simultaneously which is stupid because you can easily see the guy late turning in and trying to throw the GT3 into a drift. He almost comes to a complete stop in one of the chicanes because of this. Did that twice. And the last turn he comes across the line with a cloud of smoke behind the car from drifting. Any clown that goes to a track knows that is costing him LOTS of time. The fanboys argued that the post vid of them crossing the line was not the actual lap by the GT3 where you can see the smoke from outside. But if you look, you can see the guy standing at the finish line (on the inside of the track) recording and the GT3 facing him and not down the track where it should be. Completely retarded.

On top of that the GT3 did not have PSC's. And still was less than 1 second behind. Another magazine tested a 996 turbo to be faster than them both. so that gives you an idea of the driving. But it's evident that the guy is actually trying to do a fast lap in the GT-R and not in the TT.

Here is the video, watch closely!

Car Magazine- They showed some clips of this lap battle which I think was at Rockingham, they tested the TT,M3 and GT-R. I asked why the guy was drifting around the circuit the whole time and they said it was showmanship but not the actual timed laps (fanboys). Well after looking at the results. There were turns that the TT was 5 mph slower than even the M3 which was on completely dead tires (from drifting to dry the track for the GT-R) and lost it's brakes. Yet on the last turn, the TT was several mph faster than both the others and blazed to several mph faster on the straight. The GT-R only reached 109 mph and the fanboys said it hit the limiter, but the limiter is 111 mph. The TT got to 113.

I cant find the data page form the mag give me a minute.

Autocar- Long story short, they found the shortest track they could and did a one lap test in freezing conditions. The MPSC's takeat least two before they arent a liability and the GT-R was .3 faster. The GT3 understeered massively because of the coldness of the tires and he complained about it the whole lap. Anyone can tell you MPSC are not good on their first lap, especially in 30* temps. Driving wasnt bad, but when those MPSC get up to temp it would get very ugly. A retarded test to begin with.

Ok finally was able to see the video. There is no doubt that there was more than a bit of favoritism there.

Subaru does not slam other companies to make it's STI look better, nor does it sqew results in any way. They let the cars performance and track record speak for itself.

absolutely, I have test results for the same car in all three major american car mags and you will see widely varying results. Even within the magazne, different test with widely verying results.

Seems like one review finally came in that is not done by the fanboy club. More realistic and not so great and lost to the new TT. Also at sticker price you don't get leather and if you are big, the seats may be to tight. Seems like there will be a lot of aftermarket suppliers on this one. Still the car is fast and at the price range will be a tunable option.
