A VERY custom 996 GT2 "RSR"...
Stevo. a little respect may be in order. You obviously do not have any idea who Mr. Linton is.
Robert thanks for showing us the parts.

I also do not know Mr. Linton .Please enlighten us.
is he a guy who can't drive manual tranny's?
jk,
The car looks great, a beast of a machine in looks. I like the tasteful interior, still nice for the street.

That was being Respectful... I think Mr Linton might get the exact same response from from Badgt
Robert I am sorry if I offended you... you are a great guitarist http://www.robertlinton.com/index.ph...tpage&Itemid=1
Keep up the good work by making comments that belittle one of the best in the industry. I just hope he doesn't decide to stay away because of your warm welcome.

You may want to do a little homework before you make such comments. You really have no idea. Google the name or look at this from our sister forum which is like looking at the tip of an ice berg. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...rt-linton.html

You might consider the source and ask some questions. You just may learn something.

The transmission is a compromise, it was re geared and re tooled, it has a sequential style shifter, but at the same time he doesnt need to have the noise of a regular sequential with straight cut gears, is a road/race car not just a race car. You need to take that into fact. I know very few people who have/can stand a true sequential on the road. Also looking at the time, effort and cost he has put into this, im guessing he has is reason that are very concrete and sensible. Im not sure if you have ever driven a car with a race gear box, but its about as comfortable as getting mugged in the corner of a rock concert, you will walk away with bleeding ears, broken spine from the shifts, and a right arm that wants to snap off.
well there is also a CF diffuser that you dont see (its not mounted yet) so there might be more to that then what is seen fyi

1: I don't know who Mr Linton is and to be honest I don't really care.
2: To even suggest installing an Auto in this car makes me think Mr Linton doesn't know what he is talking about, it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
3: It looks to me more like Mr Linton is advertising products on the 6speed website, I might be very wrong but is he a sponsor here? if yes I will take this back!
are we talking tiptronic here? If so this will help for sure but what can be done to a tip to get rid of the slow shifting system? AMerican auto tranny's have shift kit systems to give the fast/hard shifting, has anyone done this for tips?
Stevo ....... "clearly built race car," why don't you clearly tell us about the tranny and shifter on this car? I am not in anyway degrading what was done. I just want to see if you know what was done and how it compares to "built race cars."
