I don't think the issue is whether or not you have a five bar, it's whether or not the car is tuned to take advantage of the 5bar.
The program should be specifically written to take advantage of the extra fuel, if not, you're better off leaving the stock FPR in there (unless the tune is running lean).

i've started looking....so we will see.

As for your exhaust...I say you mod the stock before spending $$$ on a Milltek or other. Worst case - you're not happy with it, sell it, and buy Milltek or other.

The dump is also a good option. I have them on my S4 and they have proven to add power...not to mention change the entire sound of the car, maybe a bit more (volume) then you'd be looking for...

As iv'e posted before when I was interested in doing the same, the exhaust cutout/dump valves seize up due to the eat in the rear from the turbo's/motor!

well there is always the manual / non-electric valve system....seeing as the exhaust is so accessible on these cars...

What else would be needed other than a 16g compressor wheel to make this fit on our stock K16 turbos?

You guys keep me posted on the time and date for the dyno day and I'll see if I can make it with my "old" K16/K24 hybrids and UMW tune. My car made 510Whp & 532# torque on 93 octane and stock wastegates and the 3.8FPR with an Upsolute tune on a Mustang Dyno (AWD), and I'm expecting more with a better set of afrs and IDCs.

We'll definitely keep you in the loop Mike. It'd be fun to put a name with a face. Plus, I wanna see you do those wheelies in person.

Tony, for wastegate upgrade, what do you use (separate wastegate or upgraded springs in the factory actuator)?

For wastegates, the stock actuator and rod are completely removed and replaced with a brand new actuator with a one bar spring inside and a thicker actuator rod. These are also manually adjustable to set the crack pressure equally. It is similar to the upgraded actuators that EVO sells.

Anyway, congrats on your setup and dont worry about all the experts around here. It is your money and your choice and if you're happy then I'm happy for you. Go get some 60-130's for another comparison. Have fun
A very good friend of mine worked at wheel-2-wheel before they closed.
