New GTR ordered!! RIGHT OR WRONG
probably not, its one HELL of a car and due to limited supply and high demand, if you decide you don't like it, you should be able to flip it and not loose much money.
congrats on the new car! please post a review and some pics when it finally shows up.
now comes the hard part: the waiting game

Why would you have made a mistake? The only thing I would question is you quesitoning yourself.
You're actually in a great position to wait and see how everything turns out in the first production year to decide how you want to move forward.
But no one knows if you made a mistake but you.
You didn't make a mistake unless it RHD. The LHD is more balance according to Nissan interview with motortrend. Even if it RHD it still a great car, Make sure to get the speed limiter adjusted because your topspeed is only set to 150 mph
Really, so the right hand drive car might be crap?
And it's a little more complicated than getting the "speed limiter" "adjusted.""Japanese GT-Rs are speed-limited for the street: As has been widely reported, unless it's driven on a preapproved racetrack, a stock Japanese-spec GT-R is limited to 180 kph (111.8 mph) with the factory settings. GPS sensors in the navigation system track vehicle position and communicate with the ECU. Try to exceed 180 kph, and a warning light will appear on the instrument panel. Only shutting the car off and restarting it will get the light to disappear.But can be run all-out at the track: Running a GT-R at the track requires scrolling through menus in the on-board computer and selecting the racetrack option that bypasses the speed limiter. Only then can the car be run to its full potential.
Though it'll cost you: Once the track day is over, owners who have run their GT-Rs over the speed limit are required to take them to a preapproved Nissan High Performance Center for a safety check. Failure to perform this $1000 service will void the factory warranty."

uhmmm that only for the Japan models there not sure if the GPS tech will make it on the other modes. That what I read in the mags about the the gtr. LHD is just what I read somewhere. If you don't find it fine. if you do then good for you. I was just stating what I have read.
IT was road and track that sayed the LHD was more balanced:linky:http://2009gtr.blogspot.com/2007/12/...drive-and.html

GPS tech won't make it to any model outside of japan because the japanese don't have a complete list of tracks outside their homeland. Not to mention the legal barriers taht would probably prevent that (EU anti-trust and other legislation, and general north american crazy litigation)
think about it...do you think a guy at Nissan Japan knows where shannonville or sunset speedway are? (hell, i barely know where they are
)

Not a mistake unless you paid over MSRP. Great car enjoy!!
The right hand vs. lefthand offset is something that Nissan has done with other models. This started way back with the first original Datsun Zcar, where the driveline is shifted to the right side of the car, even the RHD models. Due to the "shift" in the driveline, putting the driver on the left helps offset the drivetrain weight shift to the right of centerline.
I was at a dealership local to me about 3 weeks ago chatting with them about ordering a GT-R and the absolute best I could get them down to was $93K ($20K markup) and change out the door, taxes/tags/prep/destination charges. That was it... I said No thanks...
