dealer had to replace the plastic coolant tank. I feel Porsche should replace this free, this is a known problem that they will not address, I am out of warranty, but when you so many cars with this problem, come on

The dealer quoted me 5 hours to replace plus the part, so I did it myself. Not that difficult but you do have to remove the fuel filter. Bought the tank from Sunset. How many hours did your dealer charge you?

wow, the stealers really sock it to you. I had to replace mine back when I had my 996 NB, and the 911 independent shop charged my around $450. Seems like everyone with a 99' 996 has had to replace theirs.
