Look at the option sticker first for the X50 code.

Then I think it has bigger inter-coolers (raised fins etc.)

Hummmmm, ask the dealer to pull the VIN

It's really pretty hard to tell if you are not familiar with the cars. The differences are hidden in the engine compartment and with higher horsepower rating. As was said previously, look for the sticker, look in the owner's manual, or have someone like Loren on RennTech run the VIN number for you.

If you're contemplating getting an X50, you'll be glad you did because the relatively little difference in price brings you bigger turbos, intercooler, and hP....well worth the money.

If you feel the intercoolers through the bottom rear vents the X50 cars have intercooler fins the protrude a bit on X50 cars.

I do know of one X50 car that was fitter with one X50 and a standar intercooler by the factroy. It was fixed under warranty.

best way to tell is to check for the GT2 intercoolers with the raised ridges

My car sold, but the buyer determined he would have trouble importing to Canada. Which isn't all together a bad thing (I DON'T REALLY WANT TO SELL IT). I'm on the fence about relisting it and trying to sell http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...210599415&rd=1

Dragon your car is perfect!!!

I wanted to bid on it but its just slightly out of my initial budget

If you re-list it, I will have to see what I can do...

Props on a gorgeous 996tt!!!

There is a square white paper pasted to the inside of the hood, it lists all the build options...you will see an X50 on that sheet if it is an X50. Also raised fins on the intercooler.
