After hear Drew and Tom roaring down the straights at VIR I was sold.

Called AWE today and to my surprise the things are dirt cheap ($307 shipped).

Cant wait to hear and see them. And lose some weight.

Next up is the battery.

I love my strait pipes, I wouldn't trade my cheap FVD pipes for any other kind.They lighten up the car and its a great sound!. I am assuming you will have the cat delete , you will get the CEL for not cats. Not sure which program you use but maybe they can program it out.Mine is FVD and no CEL !

 

When are you getting them installed?

This man speaks the truth! NOTHING beats the straight pipes! I think I paid like $200 or something like that (from a fellow member) and I am SOO happy with them. HUGE weight savings and the sound..... !!!!!!!!!!

I drove around for 2 months with straights..... BUT felt I was going to jail every time I punched it... lol...TORONTO POLICE are such a PAIN IN THE ... !!!
But I LOVED IT....it wasnt too bad cruising around shifting around 1100 rpm....lol.....

 

I dont think I'll have the patience to even drive it to have Neil install it. I'll probably throw it up on Jack Stands and go to town.

Chances are I'll need to be able to put the PSI back on at some point at the track to pass sound levels so might as well know what I'm doing.

 

The car is really REALLY loud when cruising...and its deafens when you slam the pedal down. There is pretty much no way to be quiet. Every shortshifting at 1000 rpm is loud. The drone on the freeway is reasonable and a conversation can be held.

The ONLY problem with the noise is that you have to be very aware of where you do step on the pedal. The noise can be heard from a long distance away.... if you see what im getting to

 

NOOOOO DEZZZZZZZ, i'll bring the ear plugs for when I come down to ATL and get a ride then LOL....

He wont miss a thing! Martin you havent heard **** until you hear a straight pipes GT2 flyby. All of a sudden that Ruf exhaust doesnt sound so good!

 

LOL Martin, I heard Drew's car long enough to know it had NOTHING on my Vette, that thing absolutely SCREAMED at WOT. This will be childs play. And I'm in the country compared to you so loud noises dont resonate as much.
