Just bought a C6 Z06...
MT makes a bad *** DR in 18" also. If I could fit their 345 18" on my car, I would.

Nitto's aren't the best hooking DR in the world, but they are better than a non DR, and do very well in the rain, unlike almost every other DR out there.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if they have them for 19" rims. I would really like to run stock wheels and not have to switch between the Hoosiers and DR's or buy a whole new set of 18" wheels all around.
I did see that Tire Rack had the Pilot Sport Cup in the factory sizes for the Z06. Does anyone have any real life experiences with them.

I believe they are slightly heavier...but IMO the music they make is worth the trade off of a few pounds and a couple of HP...from idle to WOT I think they are much better sounding than the stock exhaust or just about any other aftermarket exhaust. Especially if cam/headers are installed.
The stock exhaust is a great piece. You really won't see any performance gain on the dyno changing them and for those that like 'quiet' time you can't beat it...

Nice addition Divex. Would u consider one day to mod your Z06 near the potential of your monster Pcar? I was so amazed the day I rode in my friend's '07 C6 TT pushing 650+hp before meth injection on a local freeway & it was almost doing a simi burnout when he went WOT at 40mph+. These cars are awesome platforms too.

Scott - Keep the factory mufflers - they flow as well as any after-market set out there. Plus being able to put it in quiet mode when cruising on the high-way is priceless. I have a cam/long tube headers/cross-over and hi-flow cats. It will give you a splitting headache if you had to drive it in the "loud" mode at all times.
So in "quiet" mode...how loud is your setup? Way louder than stock, or only slightly louder but with a deeper, different sound?

I just installed 305/35/18 NT555Rs on my P-car last week. They definitely drive better than the BFG's but don' hook as well when they'e cold. Once they're hot, I can hook in 2nd gear at full-boost.
Those 305/30/18 MT's might be just the ticket, though.
I would have to agree with DJ's Z that the corsa is probably a better over all sound at WOT. I do not know how much drone they have at cruising speeds in 5th and 6th gear though. You would not want to spend more than 5 minutes in loud mode at cruising speeds with the mods I have done. It will make your head explode. Not sure what the corsa sounds like on a stock car though.
In quiet mode it has a deeper growl to it. It does sound a little different. It is a noticeable difference but it is not that much louder in quiet. It is a completely different roar in "loud" though. Once I get it out of the shop I will do a sound clip on it and post it.

The Corsa does sound awesome...but man do I like the ability to go from quiet to loud at the touch of a button.
The people I have taken out in the Z were shocked that the car sounded so loud outside but quieter than they thought it would be inside. No, it is not as quiet as the stockers closed as you can tell by the clip I posted. But inside it's nowhere near that loud. Personally I thought the stock mufflers were too quiet and didn't have the right pitch/sound I was looking for. I want to hear the 427 like it was meant to be heard all the time. Not capped up and barely noticable when idling and valves closed. Also too much of an 'exhuast leak' type of sound with some of the air escaping from around the butterfly's...
At cruising speed with the (RSC) technology of the Corsa's http://www.corsaperf.com/arsctech.htm you would be surprised.
With headers, full exhuast and cam, it does have a slight drone at a low 1400-1800 rpm range but its very easy to drive around that. It's not anywhere near as bad as the stockers in the open position. I find myself staying in 5th gear a little longer on the highway then going into 6th at around 70-75mph. I'm very happy with the Corsa's...

We took a 500 mile drive with it in quiet mode on the highway - very comfortable at cruising speeds - no drone. It is amazing the difference at low rpms cruising between the loud mode drone and the quiet mode comfort.
