Softronic ECU Flash with FREE Diagnostic Software

This offer is for the remainder of April 2008 for Softronic ECU flash including a FREE Diagnostic (Durametic) ECU Flash cable which is a $265 value. This is for all 996TT, X50, GT2, K24/18G, AP 650 or AP 700 ECU Flashes. - Total price is $1995

First, how does the Softronic ECU Flash work? Simple, once you receive your cable, plug it into your OBDII Port and a Windows laptop with internet and follow these instructions - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...?cID=10&pID=45. No need to remove your ECU, go to a shop, or have downtime with your car. You keep access to your stock file, no need to purchase a seperate race file since Softronic tunes off the factory knock and oxygen sensor. If you decide to upgrade turbos or make major modifications, only $300 for the revision!

Reflashing your stock K16 Turbo 996TT will gain you about 80HP and 90ft/lbs of torque. Add diverter valves, an intake kit, and exhaust to see almost a 110HP gain.

Now what is the Diagnostic Software good for???
Reset service reminders
Reads diagnostic trouble codes
Displays actual values
Shows ECU information
Clears diagnostic trouble codes
Turns off check engine light
Turns off airbag light
Actvates functions (Drive Links)

What systems does it work on?
DME
Airbag
ABS
Tiptronic
Alarm
Seat Memory
Heating & A/C
And more...

Can it really turn off my airbag light?
YES! Not only can the system turn off the airbag light but it can tell you why it is on in the first place.

How is your product different from the OBD2 products available?
Our product communicates with your car just like the factory tool does, and can access all of the systems in the car. OBD2 was created for emissions related problems and only covers a limited subset of your car's engine.

Can your software address check engine lights associated with no cats (ie turn off the rear o2 sensors permanently). I am going to be running catless and I don't want to deal with check engine lights constantly popping. I'm looking to make 450 at the wheels, will my 01 with full exhaust (no cats), ported stock exhaust manifolds, diverter valves, an intake and fpr get there with your flash? Thanks!

cfi - yes you can have this done. Will you be at 450whp with that setup, yes you should have no problem.

Boss - I have an old one from another chip program that would be close. The x50 makes much less since it is running higher boost.

Hey Dan, I have the Durametric Software OBDI and OBDII with all the cables. How much for just the Softonic flash and can I use my existing Durametric Cable?

If you have a current cable that is not activated by Softronic, you will need to send it to them to be activated or buy a new one FYI.

I have an X-50 that already has the GIAC flash.

My question is: Is there any appreciable gains or advantages in upgrading to the Softronic flash as opposed to the GIAC flash that I already have?

Thank you.

Dan

x50 gains are about 40hp and 50ftlbs. The big difference is the fueling and timing. Boost increases to 1.2 in the higher gears. Why should you run Softronic? First the price includes the flash durametric cable. No extra charge nor do you have to send your ECU in to be "chip soldered". 2nd you get the durametric "diagnostic" software. 3rd you get to keep your stock map at no charge. 4th is Softronic tunes using the factory knock and O2 sensors so no need to buy a "Race" Fuel map. If you decide to upgrade to bigger turbos later on, there is only a $300 revision charge. You dont need to buy another $2000+ software. At the same time, since Softronic works with many many companies, they have maps for almost every turbo setup possible. I do not believe unless you were on a dyno with hours of time could you get some of these other companies to offer you a flash tune this quick.

One more quick question, are there user options such as turning off things (like airbag, rear o2's, etc.) or do you just request this and a new tune is sent?

Yes all this can be requested. For example if down the road you decide to run straight pipes, put a email request in for a new MAP to turn the O2 off. This would not be a revision. Revision is only for MAJOR changes in fuel, turbos, engine (cams), etc.

Awesome, thank you! This is great timing because I want to do the flash but at the same time didn't want to waste money as I knew I would be doing a k16/16 or k24 upgrade down the road. Now I know I can enjoy the car and have a path to upgrade once I decide on which route I want to go and have the funds available. I'll be calling you next week to place an order!

No problem. I have had several customers that have spent over $2800 on other flashes and when they want to do a 650 kit, K24/18G, or other turbo setup, they get sad when they have to get new programming because of the lack of maps others may have.
