You all are going to flip like I just did!!! I think it just changed my future car purchase. There is a ton of potential left in these 997 platforms too! Hopefully SPI can get it over to Scott asap to verify.
Here's a link to my post about the Driftbox results...

Very nice!! The car sounds extremely strong. Please send the raw .dbn file to me at divexxtreme@hotmail.com. Thanks.
David, I just forwarded Tym Scott's email, so hopefully he can get the run verified as soon as Scott gets around to it.
Just incredible numbers for a totally full weight car still running the heavy stock wheels and OEM tires and with only 250 miles on the clock! Talk about breaking in motor.
FYI, DA on that run was about 1335 (temperature was about 67, dew point 36, barometer 30.08, elevation 695 feet). I also don't believe Tym ran it at a full 1.6 bar...so turned up, in better conditions, with a bit more practice....I think this car has a high 4 into it without a problem!
It's mind boggling performance on a heavy 997 with just a bolt-on package and the SPI stand-alone.
David, two hrs ago we were talking about my skyline deposit and waiting for a 997 GT2 in a couple years....but with this type of performance for the money, Tym is screwing up my future car purchase plans!!!

If this is the same car that made 800+rwhp then the numbers are about right... add another .2/.3 sec shift and thats a mid 5 sec run... ( just to compare to our 996tts .)
HUGE power but great risk... so throw some rods and it should be fine...
Nothing to take away form the package.. I said before that its the sum of all the parts working together that makes a good kit great...
I just don't understand how any P car tuner would take a customer's car and run it to 800 rwhp on stock internals and not be afraid of the risk involved.
Congratulations...

. the 60 - 130 number is what really matters to me. this thing hauls ***** from a roll. i do not expect to drag race this car, but i will try to get down to the track for an ET and trap speed soon.

Mark, if your 996 is .2/.3 faster on a 1 shift run, why just post your 2 shift time?
Not sure why you continue to post backhanded compliments anytime SPI's standalone or performance accomplishments are mentioned. Obviously Tym did what you kept telling everyone couldn't be done, so perhaps that has something to do with it. You have never spoken to Tym, nor know much about this set-up except for what Tym tells Todd. But regardless, I'm sure the customer appreciates your tuning/rod tips.

There were plenty of your type of posts years ago with the 4g and 2j developments whenever someone stretched what others did. Now they are both a mature enough market that these types of posts died.
So let's just congratulate an incredible accomplishment and new tuning/performance shop option for the community. We all benefit!
That is flying right there!
I really can't wait and see what kind of price it's going to be to get this standalone setup for the car. Maybe by the time I get around to building my motor I can do this at the same time. Can I get a mad power!?
