GT3 vs. 02 Turbo
GT3 vs. 02 Turbo
Contemplating selling my 02 Turbo and buying a 07 GT3. I know that my car is worth low 60's high 50's ish. Do you guys think the GT3's will hold their value per se?
Nope, not gonna hold it's value, especially if it's being used, miles are added and wear 'n tear is put on it. A good rule of thumb is expect as much as 1% depreciation per month 'till it hits it's bottom.
I loved my GT3. For a weekend toy it is the perfect car. I now need a daily driver so I am searching for the perfect Guards Red 996TT.

You really can't go wrong either way.

in general a car is not a good financial investment. buy what you want and enjoy it.
the GT3 is a great track car, the TT for all round performance, and hp junkies.
PS my car in its current form turns faster lap times than any 997GT3 around for the record. so dont think that a GT3 is always going to be the better car.

I agree with you to a point. Considering the TT is already depreciated to almost 1/3 of it's new cost, I have to disagree. A NEW GT3 will depreciate much faster than a very depreciated 996TT.
Especially as long as you can walk into the dealer and buy new one.

I agree. A brand new $110k GT3 will sell for $98k with 7k miles and a year old.

I'm sure there is another somewhere to be found.
Hello Tom, I fully agree with what you mentioned, I own a 03 996 TT, protomotive K24/18G's, RS motor mount, Brembo GT brakes, moton, etc...the overall makes my car faster than any GT3, but this week, I bought a 08 white Gt3 RS, and honestly the feeling is day and night..even if I love my TT, the RS is just something else..so I guess, impossible choice, except the Gt3 doesn t need as much money to be invested as the TT to be trully track competitive..I just love them both...I m a keeper
