was wondering if anyone here drove a new 997tt to compare to the 996tt... to me the 997tt looks so much wider...where the 996 tt looks thinner and longer... wondering if the 997tt is any better of a performer/driver.. before i mod my 996tt just wondering if upgrading to the newer 997 is a better choice.. any feedback..?

your car and some basic mods would yield a far better performing car for half the price.

Check out Terminators post dated 4-27-08. I was considering the 997TT but am now focusing on a 997GT3.

I did the math..the view Tom Kerr has is where I am at.....

60k for the car..do 10-20k in mods...have 600+HP, wheels, tires, suspension/brakes all way better than a 997tt...

Just me.

If that's the case and $ is not a concern, I'd suggest getting the 997TT. Why not? You seem to show a preference for it.

I could get a 997TT if I wanted to, but personally I don't feel it's worth the delta at this point.
