Help...PLEASE ASAP!

Hello everyone, I have a problem was wondering if anyone could shed some insight. I have a 03 996TT EVO GT700, just purchased it not long ago and everything was great up until about 2 hours ago. Car ran great smooth not hesitation or knocking or bogging down...nothing. I drove over to my parents house and picked my brother up for his first ride, I pulled out of the drive way rolled to about 5-10mph gave it some throttle all the way up then off the gas, didn't even shift into 2nd. I pushed in the clutch because the end of the street was near and the engine drops RPM and stalls. ??? I start it up and it gives a really rough idle, I try to throttle a little in neutral and it boggs down and stalls. I start it again and let it idle for a little bit then it seems to settle down, I push in the clutch and start to give it some throttle it revs up a little I let the clutch out to about friction point then it boggs down and stalls. This time the display flashes "oil pressure too low" or something to that effect and then the check engine light comes on. After a minute or so I start it again and SLOWLY give it throttle and it climbs so I let out the clutch and I get going a little way in first climb up to about 3500-4000 rpm and shift to 2nd give it throttle and it stalls.

Well I limped back to my parents house which all of this took place within 1/8 mile of there house. And it has just been awful, I let it cool down hoping time would correct just to see and it idles fine maybe a little up and down now, but as soon as you let a clutch out in reverse, 1st whatever it will stall or want to.

ANY IDEA WTH could be going on? Nothing happened on the drive over from my house to my parents, everything was good. I picked up my brother and gave it some throttle, not floored or anything but definitely enough to set you back and then nothing but problems ever since. Has anyone heard of anything like this and is there a remedy for it?

Please help!

Ry

Oh and BTW the oil levels are excellent, one bar down only. Forgot to mention that.

Let's not panic. First things first.

What does the oil pressure gauge show at idle?

Have you checked the oil level?

The oil level at idle is one bar down. at first i couldn't check the level electronically because the idle would climb and drop and everytime it was trying to read it it would climb and say only could read it at idle. But I pushed the clutch in and held it, this helped the idle steady enough to read 1-2 bars down. Level at my house last night was 2 bar down at idle. Today 1 bar down and once it read 2 bars down but could have been on an incline.

Thanks

When you give it throttle it literally feels as if I'm out of fuel. Hit the gas boggs down as if it's out of fuel. I don't know how better to explain it. Anyone have any ideas? I'd like not to have to lave it at my parents house.

Does the car have a LWFW? Combined with a failing MAF, that could be it.

Sorry for the ignorance but does LWFW = Light weight flywheel? It does have a Light FW and I just spoke with the previous owner, he had mentioned that the MAFS had been replaced not long ago BUT it was replaced with a stock unit. So...I don' t know how to test these things or if there is a way to find out if infact it is the problem. If there is a test or diagnostic that I can run please let me know. Thanks

If the fuel pump quits, it will feel just like you described. When my fuel pump failed it made a loud whining noise for a few hundred miles. If you turn the ignition on without cranking over the engine, do you hear the pump?

unplug the MAF and see how it drives. You'll get a CEL and ABS/PSM warning, but the engine will should run okay.

Again, I apologize for the ignorance but does anyone have pics of where the boost hoses might pop off? I'm curious if this might be it, like i said I did give it some juice right before it did this. Hopefully it is something like this.

Also if I do disconnect the MAF and it does run fine then how far can I run it before I do some damage? Can I get it home about 20 miles with out the MAF without damaging some other stuff? And if it is the MAF can i upgrade it to a Hitachi or one of the other aftermarket ones with the evo tuner?

thanks in advance

If it is a hose Check the ones going from the turbo to the IC on the Driver side, It could also be a MAF.Does it show a CEL and if so let us know what the code is, it can direct us to be a little more specific.
