New Suspension thoughts
Jeff, I think you're looking at it in the wrong light. To me, and this is just me, I'm looking at areas I can improve in on the track. I'm driving my car around problems that it has had and I'm still running decent times. If I'm going to spend money on a system, I want to do it once and be done with it. Although I did slide around a little, and I corded a tire that had 12 hard days on it, I still managed to have a very good time last weekend. "Doing what Tom did" makes some sense, but as others have constantly commented, the reputation JIC has is only slightly better than Blown6 when it comes to customer support. I don't personally want to deal with that kinda bull****. And I certainly don't want to spend $3600 and then have to fight with the manufacturer when something tanks on the parts and I need the car fixed yesterday. Knock yourself out on doing that, but for me, No thanks.

Me, I'd just do Tom's set up, get the control arms from Dan (and JIC's and springs)....and do the set up now. You'll just waste the labor for the cambers and the corner now otherwise...just me. If you are sure your are going to do it. Really sure, I would do it now rather than in the winter. You are likely to just be frustrated between now and April otherwise...not worth it in my book.

Ben, Thanks for the honesty. I'll be going another route all together... I do NOT want to deal with a company that won't back their product. F' that.

Mike,
I would go with JIC / CROSS. Just be ready for any disappointment with their customer service. Dan at Vivid would help you much, but as a JIC / CROSS Ex-employee, I need to give you a heads up. Their customer service sometime can be nice but sometime can be sucks. Depending on the owners mood, like the way he did to my paycheck. He gives me a decent paycheck when business is good and cut out my paycheck when he doesn't have enough money for his own pocket. Yes, Hi Jon.
But, hey, i still suggest you to go with JIC / CROSS, they are a very nice product, just not the customer service. Let me know if you need any help though. Dan, also hit me up if you need help whenever Jon doesn't have time to help you. Oh wait, in second thought, he will make time for you since he can't loose your as a dealer. Oops, I am thinking out loud. Oh well.

mike, try and replace the lower arms with the 2-piece with the solid brass inserts. for the rears try some mono ball solid upper mounts. and some rear toe links and mono balled upper dog bones. it should do wonders for you even with PSS9's. if you don't want to go that extreme, try and change out the lower arms with th e 2 piece with camber adjustable shims. that way you will be able to dial out the understeer with out changing the caster too much.

I hear you and no problems. It sounds like the way to go is full blown. Or, get the cambers, arms, etc....and keep what you have. Or control arms.....etc.
If I had endless $'s, I'd just get Moton's if I could make them street friendly.
For my budget, with my machinist/physicist training I just felt the JIC's were the best bang for the buck and were of sufficiently high quality to put on my dream car supporting my rear end around at DE's at VIR and the like. Many here used Dan. So I contacted him and it was a pleasure from minute one. No pressure. Fast shipping. Coverage of installation issues. Etc. I only wish you well. Period. See you at the track!

JIC is a manufacture of high performance coilovers. They have an extensive racing program and are very highly regarded. Blown6 buys intercoolers from china and sells stuff on Ebay taking peoples money. 2 different scenarios. Jon the owner of JIC means EXTREMELY well and his product is top notch. Vivid Racing is happy to assist customers with any JIC questions, issues, or concerns.
Well I think I have a short term plan together...
I'm going to install some camber plates on the front, first and foremost. Then I'm going to have to buddy up with one of our vendors and come up with some control arms *(upper and lower) and toe links. The reason for this approach is these parts, along with my sway bars and drop links, will be used with the coil overs I end up with.
I'll end up selling the camber plates, along with the PSS9s when I decide on the shock that I end up with...

mike, honestly at this stage I would just change out the lower arms to the 2 piece type with solid inserts if you don't plan on changing out your suspension to another coil over system. in that way you can dial out your indersteer with out much monies spent. doesn't make sense to pay for a complete removal and re install just to change out the camber plates as they aren't the adjustable type. the ideal way to adjust camber is with the shims ala GT lower contral arms. make sense?

My favorite intercooler is now out of Seattle....but that is another story. I have been very lucky with my vendors to date. Really nice people. Smart. Honest.
Anyway, I am happy. In the end, the best way to do business is via good customer support. One also needs to take care of one's employees. I hope
Mike, I have AP upper rear control arms and links and they are quite nice work.

Actually Oak that does make lots of sense...Only reason I was thinking camber plates is potential resale on the PSS9s when i get to that point...

Its all about what you want to do with the car,JIC is nice but not as Öhlins, moton or JRZ, but as always you get what you pay for
JIc is a nice set up for the most but not for the track junkies
