New Suspension thoughts
2 things... have you ridden in a car with JIC or used them on the track?
There is a HUGE difference between a JIC coilover and a koni, tein, or PSS9. JIC uses Monotube dampers. Strong inverted damper setup on the front. Helper springs to prevent any type of bump steer. Do you research - http://www.cross-na.com/ViewProduct1...5&CarMakeID=14
Having personally run Tein coilovers in my old EVO VIII, they suck. They are made no difference then any of the other chinese junk, KSport, BC, Stance, etc. They are great for the JDM tuner crowd because of their price point and yes, their marketing. Do they have race proven results? Nope. PSS9 are great for daily driving, alittle to soft and not enough adjustability. Look at MKelly point, he wants camber plates. JIC includes front camber plates and rear pillowball mounts. Replacing the factory rubber strut tops gives you much more responsive steering, ability to get WAY more camber out of the front, and a solid handling ride. I have had Cusco coilovers in my EVO VIII as well as 2008 WRX. Great coilover, very soft though. I ran KW V3 in my 07 STI. Great coilover. Very populer, no camber plates though. I would recommend these over the others. At the end of the day, there is a reason I have used JIC Cross in over 10 vehicles I have built and sold probably easy 50 kits to Porsche owners and over 200 kits to tuner cars world wide. You get a coilover that works to the ability of a Moton at a fraction of the cost. Every time I take a 996TT or other Porsche over to Redline Motorsports who does corner balance alignments and is one of the top preparers for Porsche Cup cars, he is amazed at the quality and performance of the JIC.
What really matters is the driver. If MKelly needs more then a PSS9, then he needs more. You need to take into account tire selection, spring rates, and overall vehicle balance.

Being that this is a discussion I started, and since I've pretty much established way up front that I'm not putting JICs on my car, can we just drop the whole "JICs are great/ JICs suck" discussion? I understand Dan's position on this, as he is a vendor for the product which puts him in a tuff spot. I also get it from the 18 PMs from 18 different members telling me why they suck or don't suck...
How about we talk about control arms and Toe links... Or PINK BUNNIES???

What do the adjustable drop links do?
Thx

We suggest KW
German tested, tuned, lifetime warranty, made in Germany, stainless steel construction, independent rebound & compression adjustable. Custom springs can be odered.
They are widely used in Europe on the streets & racing circuits. They are on the Edo Carrera GT, MC12, the list goes on
We usually have the 996TT kits in stock

Mike, you could also consider revalving the PSS9s to a more aggressive spec. It's $500 dollars to have Bilstein do it. A new set of Eibach main springs in any spring rate is about $250. Just another option to add to the mix...

Mike,
I would go with JIC / CROSS. Just be ready for any disappointment with their customer service. Dan at Vivid would help you much, but as a JIC / CROSS Ex-employee, I need to give you a heads up. Their customer service sometime can be nice but sometime can be sucks. Depending on the owners mood, like the way he did to my paycheck. He gives me a decent paycheck when business is good and cut out my paycheck when he doesn't have enough money for his own pocket. Yes, Hi Jon.
But, hey, i still suggest you to go with JIC / CROSS, they are a very nice product, just not the customer service. Let me know if you need any help though. Dan, also hit me up if you need help whenever Jon doesn't have time to help you. Oh wait, in second thought, he will make time for you since he can't loose your as a dealer. Oops, I am thinking out loud. Oh well.

I have had no problem with JIC
But, for the information, I never been fired by Jon. Why would I be fired by Jon when I am the only one that been taking care of the sales, shipping, customer service, product service, and some mechanic work for him. The company is run by 4 persons and I am everything but accounting and being the boss itself. So, tell me if I am being sour because my base salary always change month to month depending on Jon's mood or I am being sour because I was fired?
Well, Tom, good luck with your JIC. Make sure you'll be prepare to get a recommendation to buy a new set when your coilover is need to be rebuild but Jon doesn't have time to rebuild or need to wait for months before yours will be ready to be rebuild.
But hey, it is a nice enough product for not being made in Japan or China or Taiwan.
Ben, not meant to be mean or cold, just how it came off to me, no disrespect.
Must admit at the JIC price point there really isnt anything "better" out there.
what would you suggest to the forum memebers to be a better set up than JIC for the same price?
Here's the deal, Tom I ran that suspension a couple of years back at SPA, all corner balanced etc and over the full 2 day period on track 10+ hours track time with adjustments, it was nothing but a pile of crap and that's not a joke! I remember me giving a friend who has a 996GT3RS a ride and it was so embarrissing, even if you were to run heavier springs all you achieve is the magic bounce effect, as I said it might be fine for flat track work where there is not a lot of off camber sections etc, infact I bet you could run an even stiffer spring rate at Sebring. When I returned it was the first job to take the crap off even only covering a few thousand miles, I even contemplated throwing it straight in the bin that's how bad it was. I then sold it to a guy who had Redline Racing (GT3 Cup Car Specialist and Racing Team) install it on his Turbo and he also had it removed within 2 weeks of it going on. Tom you told me that you had Motons on the car before, why ever did you get rid of them? It's seriously like chalk and cheese, just wish you could bring your car over here and you will see just how rubbish that stuff is for track work.
And another thing Tom, I bet you would start to feel more comfortable/driving style thus gain better lap times, we all know you can drive and are probably driving the *** of that Turbo, but I bet you could go quicker again.
