New mods... help!!!
New mods... help!!!
Any feedback greatly appreciated.
About three weeks ago i took my 2002 tt x50 to dealer to check the tranny(2nd gear pop out) after going back and forth porsche put a new tranny. While the engine was down i decided to go ahead and do some mods
. Upgraded the turbos k24/18g stock actuators, DV, spark plugs, fuel pressure regulator, clutch, flywheel, softronic software. I already had the exhaust, headers and bmc filter. Yesterday porsche calls me and tells me the car is ready to go i take my laptop get to the dealer download the softronic software and take the car for a spin. The car felt great until i did a third gear pull. At about 5200 rpm the car lost boost (it was hitting 1.3 bars) stopped pulling. The car does the same thing in second at higher rpm's but not all the time. first gear is fine. Thanks again for any feedback.

I would start by talking to your softronic dealer.
Did you change the spark plugs ? (it would not cause this problem)
Do you have any check engine lights with this boost pulling back?
Did you blow a boost hose or develop a boost leak after pulling more boost than
ever before? (does it pull the 1.3 bar in 3rd and 4th anymore ?)

How can i check to see if i have a boost leak?
That a self protection mode, what it does ,more is less is shut down the boost, are you only seeing .3 -.5 now?

no im still getting 1.2 1.3
Same thing happened to me last night, during a run i was pulling 1.2 through all of third after i shifted to 4th and went down on the throttle i only saw .6 and the car was all funky, didnt throw and lights though weird enough. Have to check it out on Monday. SUBSCRIBING
what program are u running?
Once you saw .6, did you get on it again and see 1.2 bars again? Once in limp mode, you'd have to reset the battery.
I got on it again and it would not go past .6 bar. I am going to reset the battery today and see what happens, thanks
Made a few more runs yesterday, my first run went great no problem when i did the second run it happened in second shifted to third and it also happened. I dont think is going into limp mode the car hits 1.2 consistently.

Hey Joel, even though you are not showing a cel there still are codes then can be thrown. Have your ECU scanned with a code reader and see what you have. I am having a simular problem and I am throwing code Po234.
Thanks Mike
