60 to 130 runs with video
Our Saturday run 60 to 130 times were good. My Drift box recorded the data and I attached the screen shots for your review. Since we started from 10MPH, I had to shift THREE TIMES (3,4,5) to get to 130+.

My 4th gear goes to 121MPH so I have to shift one more time to get to 130mph. The 60 to 130mph graph shows 1st shift at 68mph, 2nd shift at 96mph and the 3rd at 120mph.
Your runs were made on 3.1% and 3.8% declines, respectively. The max for the official list is 3.0%, since steep declines such as yours shorten 60-130 times significantly.
Also, unless your rev-limiter has been lowered from stock, or you are running different gear ratios, I'm confused why you say your 4th gear only goes to 121 mph. I think that all stock 996 Turbo transmissions are able to hit at least 133 mph at redline in 4th gear (GT2 ratios are slightly taller, I believe). Anyway, I've never heard of anyone having to shift 3 times....regardless of which model it was.
Gear ratios and max speeds for 996 Turbos listed below:
1st: 3.82 @ 39.2 MPH
2nd: 2.05 @ 69.4 MPH
3rd: 1.41 @ 106.4 MPH
4th: 1.12 @ 133.5 MPH
5th: 0.92 @ 161.2 MPH
6th: 0.75 @ 199 MPH

I try to shift close to the rev limiter. I will take a closer look next time. If I can take it up to 133MP in 4th, that should shave some time.

- Revo Flash
- Carbonetics Triple Disk Clutch
- 16lb Battery

"We're off, and wow, this Porsche accelerates as if someone had pushed the fast-forward button. First gear stretches only to 39 mph, a speed that arrives so fast that the tach needle hits the 6750-rpm limiter before the dopey driver (me) has selected and engaged second gear. Second takes the GT2 to 73 mph, and this time I'm ready for the upshift when it is due. Third stretches to 106 mph, with fourth being theoretically good for 133 mph."
You were right on it. I guess with a redline of 7k I might hit 140 in fourth. I've never pushed it past 135 before I upshifted in the 5th.
0.1 doesn't make a difference, but 3.1% DOES.
Big files, better quality = NODODY WATCHING
And 4th is good for at least 130mph. You're shifting at 5500. Stop being such a *****.
So much misinformation from one person is ASTOUNDING...
