1988 Turbo Slant Nose

Went to dinner Saturday night and met a guy with an '88 Turbo with factory slant nose. It was in perfect condition and absolutely gorgeous.

He also has a 2000 XK8 that has been completely modified. A super nice guy. I told him about 6SpeedOnline and he had never heard of it... add one to the list!

Those are gorgeous. A factory 23k option at the time.

Nothing quiet like them. I have owned several. Wild to drive because you can't see the hood or headlights. It is like driving a pair of windshield wipers. You get use to the headlights up there and there is nothing there.

The headlights FWIW are actually from the 944. They used the headlight motor, linkage and carriers for that setup. Those fenders were the series II. The original Werks cars didn't have the slats in the fenders. Those were all special wishes cars.

It was probably Dr. Hamlin, or "Derek" if thats how you know him. He is my moms partner in crime, as they work together as Radiologists. He is a SUPER nice guy with excellent cars. He is an absolute car nut and if he finds this site, he will probably never be off of it!

BTW, his Slant nose is silver with HRE wheels in 19" form. They are beautiful.

His XK8 is a convertible. It is white with a full Arden body kit, lowering springs, dual round tail lights, 19" HRE's, full exhaust and a bunch of other work. The thing looks like a Aston Martin DB7 on crack , and is SO beautiful. (This is coming from the biggest Jaguar hater on the face of this earth!)

That's him Harris. Super nice guy and the wheels were very nice. He said he was definitely a go for the October 16th thing.
