Want to run Toyo R888, negative camber question.
Want to run Toyo R888, negative camber question.
Toyo recommends at least -2.5 deg of neg. camber for the R888's. How much neg. camber can be dialed into the stock suspension?
I run - 1.4 front and rear on my RA1's. Running -2.5 on the street and the car will be very darty at higher speeds. You will also wear them out in no time flat.
I assume we are talking street driving here?

Al,
Tramlining...it is a major issue here in the sticks with crappy roads, heavy trucks and logging trucks. My car wonders all over the place, the more neg camber the worse it is.
By default higher deg camber numbers means much better turn in but twitcher high speed straight line stuff with more correction...No?
Always has been for me setup plus major inside tire wear.

much better selections for a street car.
all R compound tires like or require more neg camber than a stock suspension will allow.
you may get 1.2 -1.5 on stock if lucky

Guess I wasn't thinking about rough and uneven roads. My car would probably be terrible on those. I don't notice any twitchiness in straignt line on course but all the tracks are pretty smooth.
