What is the cheapest source for PCCB rotors?

I have seen talk of them being around $2000 or $2500 but the dealerships want to charge me $4300 per rotor.
It's for a Turbo S (gen 2 PCCB), and I only need the two front rotors and pads.

Really hoping it's not a $10k front brake job.

How much are the pads? I'm curious to know how long the PCCB last also.

I was told by the dealer they last forever, I wasn't expecting a 2005 Turbo S needing one so soon, but I would also like to know my options for when the time comes...

I have the same car as you with around 14,000 miles and my rotors are fine. How many miles do you have?

My car just turned 11K Mi on the clock, and I don't know why but it sure does not feel like I put that many miles on it. I am still as excited about it as the day I bought it. As far as the mods go, I am no where near how I want my car. I am planning on getting all done at the same time so still at the process of putting some cash aside.

The Gen-2 PCCB rotors now supercede to a 997 part number, so I wish we could get them for $2000-2500....

You have a PM!

Just wear them down and replace with a steel set (PFC, Cups, Deman Motorsports, etc...). Performance wont suffer and its A LOT more cost effective

I have 8K miles on mine. No problems. However I read that some people were having problems with their PCCB's cracking and coming apart prematurely. In fact one of the things Porsche did was to imbed round heat sensitive discs in the rotors that change color with excessive heat so they can tell if they were abused and use this to support their position if you tried to claim that they were defective PCCB's. This I was told by the service manager at the stealership.
